The District of Sooke has appointed Jayden Riley as its new community planning manager.
Riley's background includes managing various development applications and housing strategies as a senior development planner with the City of West Kelowna.
According to Matthew Pawlow, director of planning and development, Sooke will require his expertise to work on growth strategies, such as climate action and housing.
"There's a lot on the go with our town centre and waterfront areas. In continuing the conversation on our OCP, development, development variance permits, and policy work including the next steps with climate action, and our Housing Strategy, I'm pleased to have Jayden bring his expertise to the team.," Pawlow said.
Riley starts his new job on 16 Oct 2023.
