Most people think freight is something you can just push around. Crunch! Bang! Smash! We don't. We're fussy about freight. So we've written in our operating manual, "treat it as if you were carrying eggs." This makes for very pampered freight. And pampered freight stays off the claim sheet.
 
But we don't stop with careful handling. We start with it. GENTLY!
 
Last year we added 1300 new cars, covered gondolas, tri-level auto cars, cars with cushioned underframes, and cars with moveable bulkheads. All are designed to give you better service, and to keep us from getting egg on our face.
