CPR Heritage Locomotive D&H
7312
CPR heritage locomotive,
D&H 7312, a 1972 2,000 horsepower GP38-2, sits outside CPR's Ogden Shops, in
Calgary, Alberta, 30 October 2000, overhauled and freshly repainted in Delaware
& Hudson's famous "lightning stripe" livery. the locomotive is CPR's
only named locomotive and retains the "B.C. O'Brien" designation it was
given in 1990. Bernard O'Brien, 73, a veteran of Delaware & Hudson's steam
era, retired in 1998 after a 50-year career with the D&H and CPR.
