CPR Police Service Makes Donation to Revelstoke Trees for Tots Society
Revelstoke - Recognizing the valuable role the charity plays in the community, the CPR Police
Service has donated $500 to the Revelstoke Trees for Tots Society - a charity that offers financial assistance to families in Revelstoke
whose children need to travel outside the community for specialized medical services.
"Each year, our Police Service across Canada tries to help out as many important programs as it can," said
Revelstoke-based CPR Police Constable Larry Parsons. "This year, we felt it was important to support the Revelstoke
Trees for Tots Society, because of what it does for many families in the community."
Revelstoke Trees for Tots welcomed the donation from the CPR Police Service acknowledging the company has donated annually to the
Revelstoke R.C.M.P. Charity Golf tournament from which Trees for Tots benefits from proceeds raised. The local charity stated the
company's donation and the support by its employees is very appreciated.
"From the annual CPR Holiday Train in support of the local food bank program to the donation for the Revelstoke Trees for Tots
Society, our railway recognizes the importance of supporting as many community programs as possible," added Constable Parsons, who
noted close to 300 CPR employees are based out of the railway's Revelstoke Yard.
