Ashcroft British Columbia - Ashcroft residents came out to
view the CPR Empress, which was in town on Saturday. The Empress was in town to help raise money and awareness for the Breakfast for
Learning program. The program helps to fund thousands of child nutrition programs in schools across Canada, providing
under-nourished students with breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Studies show that students who are well nourished perform
better in school. The Breakfast for Learning program hopes to raise $50,000 on the Empress trip, which goes from Vancouver to Calgary
over the course of four days.
