CPR to Use 10East's Mobile Business Platform in U.S. Locations
Canadian Pacific Railway recently selected 10East Corp.'s Railway
Daily Operations Control System (RailDOCS) Mobile Business Platform to conduct a pilot in the signal department. The
Class I will use RailDOCS at its U.S. properties to support compliance with new Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations
pertaining to configuration management.
CPR workers also will use Recon XL, a personal handheld mobile tool 10East recently introduced, to process FRA-required
signal tests and inspections.
10East plans to work with Transport Canada to approve RailDOCS for Canadian configuration management regulations. CPR then could deploy
the platform system-wide and 10East could provide RailDOCS to other Canadian railroads.
A Web-based operating management system designed for freight railroads and transit agencies, RailDOCS offers tools to
manage business intelligence and processes, personnel and projects. Other RailDOCS users include BNSF Railway Co., CSX Transportation,
Union Pacific Railroad, and other railroads and rail transport-oriented companies.
