Mark's Prez Leaves for CP Rail
Mark's Work Wearhouse co-president Mike Lambert is
leaving the retailer to join the management of Canadian Pacific Railway, both companies announced today.
The 51-year-old, who has more than 25 years of financial management experience, will take over the roles of executive
vice-president and chief financial officer at Calgary-based CP Rail later this month.
Paul Wilson, who has shared the co-presidency with Lambert since 2003, will assume full control of the president's role at
Mark's.
"He is a relentless student of retail," said Tom Gauld, president and CEO of Canadian Tire Corp., which acquired Mark's Work
Wearhouse in 2002.
"Paul has built an impressive track record of merchandising innovation and operational leadership."
After six years with Robinson's department store chain, Wilson joined Mark's Work Wearhouse in 1992 and was promoted to senior
vice-president of sales and marketing in 1996.
Two years later he became chief operating officer of the retailer.
