Stalled Train Causes Evening Traffic Jam
Winnipeg Manitoba - A train stalled near the corner of Fermor
Avenue and Archibald Street caused a late evening traffic jam in the city's south end yesterday.
Winnipeg police Insp. James Poole said police and CP Rail officials were called to the scene about 8 p.m.
"There was a train stalled on the CP line," said Poole. "It's apparently a mile long and they (called) for a tow
train."
Reports said Archibald traffic was backed up until at least Cottonwood Road around 8:30 p.m. Poole said traffic was expected to remain
cut off for 30 minutes to an hour after the stall.
