Woman Killed at Chelmsford Rail Crossing
Chelmsford Ontario - A 69-year-old woman is
dead after being hit by a Canadian Pacific freight train at the Main St. crossing in Chelmsford 26 Jan 2007 around 5 pm.
Police say the woman was walking along the southern edge of Main St. approaching the railway crossing when she was hit. Emergency
response teams attended the scene but were unable to revive the victim before she succumbed to her injuries.
The Greater Sudbury Police traffic management unit is in the initial stages of investigation and is requesting anyone that witnessed
the collision to phone 675-9171, ext. 2208.
