What's the Rush With the Kentville Roundhouse Demolition?

Kentville Nova Scotia - What is the rush regarding the demolition of the only railway roundhouse in Nova Scotia?

There is a lot of energy at work right now to come up with funding to save the historic site. Give these folks some time to put a financial proposal in place.

Kentville needs a tourist attraction, and I am sure that town council will use their visionary skills to at least give the building a chance to once again become an important part of the town's heritage and realize future financial spin-offs.

The ideas that have been presented for future use are excellent. And, unless there is a hidden agenda, town council needs to make commitment to those that are trying to preserve and protect the history and heritage of not only the town but the entire region of Kings County.

It is understandable that the town could not take the project on its own because of cost, but it seems there are other financial options and partners that would participate on a long-term commitment to save this building from a brutal, final death sentence.

Without preserving our heritage and history, we will never really know who we are and will be.
