RCMP Investigate Collision
Airdrie Alberta - Airdrie RCMP members joined the
Crossfield Fire Department in responding to a collision between a car and a train.
According to the report, the car's single occupant was transported by ambulance to Foothills Hospital with non-life
threatening injuries after the vehicle, travelling east on Limit Avenue at approximately 12:21 p.m., crossed the Canadian Pacific
Railway crossing and was struck on the rear passenger side by the train and was pushed into a ditch.
None of the train occupants sustained any injuries and the train was not affected by the collision.
Alcohol is not considered a factor; weather and road conditions at the time were considered good and the incident remains under
investigation.
