CP Rail Tenants Move In
Port Moody British Columbia - CP Rail Police will join
their Port Moody counterparts next month.
The nine-person agency, based in Port Coquitlam, will set up shop in the year-old Port Moody public safety
building in late September.
The city had anticipated the agency to move into half of the cop shop's third floor in February; however, it wasn't able to
sub-lease its current space in the HSBC building in PoCo, said CP Rail spokesperson Breanne Feigel.
As a result, the city of PoMo lost $4,395 a month in lease revenue, said Colleen Rohde, PoMo's director of corporate services.
"We're quite excited about the move into Port Moody because there's definitely a historical connection," Feigel said,
referring to the Golden Spike city.
She said CP Rail Police has a good rapport with PoMo Police and "we think the relationship will be strengthened by the two bodies
being in the same building."
