Unidentified ex-CPR Pacific most likely
1293.
Independence Ohio USA - Do you remember the days when
steam engines rumbled through Cuyahoga Valley? On 20 Sep 2007, one of the last steam engines ever made will once again
chug along Cuyahoga Valley tracks. A historic steam locomotive known as a former Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 will pull the train. Built in 1948, the
80-ton coal-fired antique and her crew were generously donated for CVSR's use by the Ohio Central Railroad
System. Narrators will highlight the history of Cuyahoga Valley and various points of interest along the route. In addition, a box
dinner will be provided.
This special excursion departs from the Rockside Station at 5:00 p.m.and travels south through Cuyahoga Valley National Park to the
Akron Northside Station. The train will then make the return trip back through the Valley to Rockside
Station.
