CP Train Spills Potash in Sask. Derailment
Govan Saskatchewan - A Canadian Pacific Railway train
carrying potash derailed north of Regina yesterday.
Eighteen of the train's more than 100 cars left the tracks about 7:45 a.m. near the community of Govan, with eight of them spilling the
powdery substance, which is typically used as fertilizer.
The spill was contained along the railway and no one was injured in the derailment.
It was unclear what caused the derailment and the immediate area was to remain closed as CP crews investigated.
