CPR Olympic Logo Covered Up Once Again
Field British Columbia - Canadian Pacific Railway train
number 470 stopped at Field this evening for a crew change.
The leading unit, a General Electric ES44AC, was number 8858 followed by 8859, each partially decorated in 2010 Olympics garb. The
Olympic logo was covered up with a peelable plastic material.
The company is keeping these units together in captive service. So far they are only put on trains that travel between Calgary and
Vancouver.
Even prior to the addition of the special Olympic lettering they always seemed to travel together.
