Body Found Near Mission Rail Tracks
Mission City British Columbia - The body of a male was
found early Thursday lying next to the southside tracks, just east of the Mission West Coast Express station.
Mission RCMP were still investigating Thursday afternoon. Police had not identified the body, nor been able to determine the man's age.
A passing train radioed CP Rail's Calgary dispatch saying a body was lying next to the tracks, and sent out a crew to investigate at
7:45 a.m., CPR's Breanne Feigel said.
CPR police and Mission Mounties were called and attended the scene with B.C. Ambulance paramedics and the coroner.
Feigel said the tracks were closed for two hours, but passenger train service was not impacted, only freight trains were halted.
CP police continue to investigate.
