NREC 2009 Testing on CP
Calgary Alberta - National Railway Equipment Company's
N-ViroMotive™ locomotive number 2009, designated model name 3GS-21B, is undergoing testing by Canadian
Pacific Railway in Calgary allthough lately the engine seems to be in storage at the shops.
NREC N-ViroMotive™ locomotives model 3GS-21B contain three engines and provide better adhesion, dramatic
fuel savings, and lower maintenance costs. N-ViroMotive™ locomotives feature multiple engine GenSets in end or
center-cab styles. Reliable electronic control systems manage all engine and traction motor functions for optimal fuel
