CP Rail Keeps Rolling
CP Rail and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference continue to try
and hammer out a new deal.
Both sides have agreed to keep the trains rolling until at least 8 Dec 2007.
Neither side will strike or serve a lockout notice until 8 Dec 2007 as the two sides try to forge a new contract.
The union represents about 4,500 locomotive engineers, conductors, and assistant conductors at Canada's second-largest
railway operator.
The last contract expired 31 Dec 2006.
