CP Rail Workers Boost United Way Campaign Total
Thunder Bay Ontario - A major funding announcement Tuesday
puts the United Way campaign closer to reaching its 2007 goal.
Canadian Pacific Railway announced a contribution of more than $88,000 to the charity drive. The funding comes from the corporation's
employee campaign in Thunder Bay and Schreiber where each division raised more than $44,000 apiece.
CP Service Manager, Matthew Oliphant says this is the most money the workers have ever raised in one year.
United Way funds 21 agencies and 57 programs in the city and the campaign wraps up at the end of the month, with a goal set over the $2
million dollar mark this year.
