10 Cars Derail Near Strathclair
Strathclair Manitoba - Several cars of a container train
derailed near Strathclair yesterday.
Canadian Pacific Railway spokeswoman Breanne Feigel said 10 cars of a westbound train derailed at 12:20 p.m. yesterday.
No one was injured, there was no environmental threat posed by the train's cargo, and no rail delays were expected as the company
simply diverted traffic onto its line to the south, which runs through Brandon.
CPR officials and Transport Canada are investigating, but as of press time the cause hadn't been
determined.
