WC Express Commuters Jostled Tonight
Vancouver British Columbia - CP Rail will not have the
track cleared in time for the evening West Coast Express service, according to TransLink's Drew Snider.
An early morning 12-car CP Rail derailment east of the Second Narrows bridge affected West Coast Express morning traffic.
Coast Mountain Bus Company was able to provide sufficient buses for a bus bridge taking people from Coquitlam station, where West Coast
was forced to stop, to Braid station, and SkyTrain.
Those coming home via the train will have to take SkyTrain to Braid station, then transfer to special buses to go to Coquitlam Central
station, and then Port Moody.
WCE trains will depart Coquitlam Centre at the regular departure times of 4:16 p.m., 4:46 p.m., 5:16 p.m., 5:56 p.m., and
6:46 p.m.
