Train Moved, Traffic Flowing
Saskatoon Saskatchewan - Morning rush hour was a test of patience
for motorists in the Sutherland area this morning. After a train derailed.
But good news, the CP train blocking railway crossings in Sutherland, has been moved and traffic is now flowing in both directions.
Assistant Fire Chief Bill Coffin says the problem arose in the rail yard shortly after 8 this morning at one of the switches when two
rail cars skipped the rail. The cars are still upright.
CP Rail spokesperson Breanne Feigel says there was no public danger because the cars weren't hauling dangerous goods but potash and
none of it spilled.
