Canadian Pacific's steam locomotive, the "Empress", will visit communities along their railway lines across
British Columbia.
The train consists of steam locomotive number 2816, the Empress, support cars, two vintage passenger coaches, a
vintage business car, a heritage baggage car converted into a travelling museum, and a stage car.
The museum car features a selection of artifacts from "Stories of You, Me and BC", a major exhibition at
the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, B.C.
The stage car features sounds of British Columbia, with a live band and stage show by "The Motherlode".
Visitors can enjoy and interact with costumed performers depicting some of B.C.'s most entertaining and notorious
historical figures.
BC150 is a celebration of the 150th anniversary of
the founding of the Crown Colony of British Columbia in 1858.
