New Switch at Ozada
A quick alignment of the switch was needed, so they used two
backhoes to push and pull the rail straight - 20 Jun 2008 Doug McKenzie.
Laggan Sub Ozada Alberta - A new switch was installed
west of the current Ozada west switch.
The siding is being extended from 7,000 feet to 10,500 feet with 30 mph switches at each end.
Currently they are 15mph in and 25 mph out.
These guys did an amazing job. The switch was pre built beside the track. From the time they cut out the main line, installed, and
ballasted the new switch and had it open for trains was 2 hours.
Watch the installation videos on YouTube.
