Train Hits Semi Trailer Truck Near Mission
Mission City British Columbia - A train and flatbed semi
trailer have collided near Mission, just south of the Lougheed Highway and 287th.
Ian Woodroff, a driver with Cousins Trucking, witnessed the whole thing.
"The guy came from behind me and went around me. Just as he was doing that, the lights started flashing. I thought, you'd better
stop, and he carried on and then the front gate came down so he slammed on the brakes. He tried backing up, and the second gate behind
him came down. He pulled forward and he sat there. Five seconds later, the train smoked him".
Woodroff says it appears the driver is okay, with the train hitting the tractor near its last axle before the trailer.
