Man, 32, Killed When Struck by Train in Coq.
Coquitlam British Columbia - A man is dead after being
struck by a train along the tracks west of the Coquitlam Central Station's West Coast Express terminal last Friday night.
According to police, the 32-year-old was pushing his bike along the tracks in an area not commonly known for its
pedestrian traffic when he was hit by a CP train.
"The locomotive, unfortunately, didn't see him and struck him", said Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Brenda Gresiuk.
Police were called out to the fenced-off area behind the Rona hardware store at around 8 p.m., where the man was
pronounced dead at the scene.
Gresiuk said police are still notifying next of kin and would not release the name of the victim.
