Canadian Pacific ECP Equiped Coal Cars
On 25 Sep 2008, CP will take delivery of the first
of two coal sets equipped with Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Brakes (ECP).
These coal sets will operate in export coal service between the Elk Valley and the West coast.
The first set will depart Springfield, Missouri, USA, 25 Sep 2008 on the BNSF and will be interchanged to CP at St. Paul,
Minnesota.
From St. Paul it will travel via Portal, Moose Jaw, Calgary, arriving at Golden B.C. then enter service approximately the first week of
October followed by the second set several weeks later.
