Canadian City Caps Off Grade Separation on CPR Line
Windsor Ontario - Last week, officials from the
governments of Canada, Ontario, and Windsor marked the completion of a grade separation at a Canadian Pacific Railway crossing on
Walker Road.
The $50 million project, which began in August 2007, will reduce traffic congestion in the Windsor-Essex area and improve
the flow of trucks moving across the Canada/U.S. border, the government officials said.
The project was jointly funded by the governments of Canada and Ontario under "Let's Get Windsor-Essex Moving",
a $300 million transportation infrastructure funding program.
