Holiday Train on Dec. 18
Ashcroft British Columbia - Now in its tenth year,
Canadian Pacific's brightly decorated Holiday Train will once again collect food and money for local food banks, raise awareness in
the fight against hunger.
Canadian communities can celebrate the season with the Holiday Train and the music of 2008 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA)
Male artist of the year Johnny Reid and country music hall of famer Tracey Brown.
At each event, Canadian Pacific provides the train, music and a corporate contribution to the local food bank. The community, in turn,
encouraged to donate foods or funds, all of which stays in their community.
The train arrives in Ashcroft and Lytton on Thursday, 18 Dec 2008. It will be in the CP yard on Railway Ave. in Ashcroft
from 2-2:30 p.m., and in the CP yard on Station Rd. in Lytton from 4:45-5:15 p.m.
The Holiday Trains measure about 305 meters in length with 14 decorated cars, including a traveling stage for performers. They are
assembled and decorated by CP employees in Montreal, Smiths Falls, Chicago, and Calgary.
