Cambridge Food Bank Gets a Boost
Cambridge Ontario - Rain made the Santa Claus parade last
month a washout for the Cambridge Self-Help Food bank.
But donors came out in droves when the Canadian Pacific Railway holiday train rolled into town Tuesday.
Volunteers collected 3,500 pounds of food and $2,100, up from 3,100 pounds and $1,100 in 2007.
Last week, the Cambridge Real Estate Board Christmas party collected $2,000, four bins of toys, and 700 pounds of food.
People can also donate at the Hespeler Santa Claus Parade, as well as 12-14 Dec 2008 at the stuff-a-bus
drive outside Zehrs at the Cambridge Centre.
