McAdam New Brunswick - The McAdam Railway Station will once again host a Christmas tour of the
rooms at the century-old historic site.
On Tuesday, 30 Nov 2010, and Wednesday, 1 Dec 2010, all the rooms on the ground level of the station will glitter with the sights and sounds of Christmas.
The tours from 7-9 p.m. will feature all the spaces highlighted last year.

Members of the McAdam Historical Restoration Commission are getting ready for Christmas at
the Station. Helping to decorate the tree in the centre of the McAdam Train Station's grand dining room are, from left, Elsie Carroll, Betty Lou Christie, Gail
Swan, and Tammy Little. Several individuals and businesses are decorating the rooms on the ground floor of the historical
site.

"We had such a success last year that we decided that we should do it again," said Elsie Carroll, a member of the Christmas tour committee of the
McAdam Historical Restoration Commission. "It will all be totally different and we are really thrilled about what will be shown."
Tickets are available through the McAdam village office (784-2293), Elsie Carroll (784-2486), Gail Swan (784-2803), and at the W.W.E. Smith Country Store in
Harvey (366-2010).
Tickets are $10 each and include not only the tour but also refreshments in the grand dining room.
Carroll said many businesses and individuals have offered to help with the decorating.
The Maxwell Room will be decorated with elegance by English Butler from the Uptown Centre at 1150 Prospect St. in Fredericton.
It will be taking part in the IODE Christmas Tour in Fredericton as the decorator for one of the homes and will take a step back in time to assist with the
station Christmas tour.
Kings Landing Historical Settlement will decorate the Waiting Room, complete with personnel in period costumes. They plan to bring along many Christmas
treasures from the past as well.
Kings Landing will also provide the apple cider as part of the festivities.
The McAdam Red Hat Group will capitalize on its red hats and decorate the lunch counter area. The curved lunch counter will be the focal point for its display.
The Ladies Waiting Room will be decorated by Debbie Little, Talitha Lewis, and Amber Young of McAdam.
They will be proud to present a special tree, "Tabitha's Tree," as the theme for their room.
The agent's office will take on the feel and look of Christmas as Nicola Lindsay ReDesign of St. Stephen weaves a magic decorating touch. It will take on a
modern look.
Penny Messer of Harvey will again decorate the outside entrance to the granite structure with the new canopy being completed just in time for this decorator's
special touches of Christmas.
The McAdam Historical Restoration Commission will be in charge of the decorating in the grand dining room with mini-lights on all the windows and the giant
Christmas tree in the centre of the room.
The red, leather-covered chairs, fit perfectly in the Christmas colour. Be sure to check out the miniature Norman Rockwell lighted village set up there.
Those interested are urged to get tickets early as only 100 will be sold for each night.
If you are holding a Christmas party at the station, please be advised that the specially decorated rooms will be disassembled following the Christmas Tour
with only the grand dining room being decorated for Christmas.
