Port Coquitlam British Columbia - MARCH
More than 6,000 people come out to celebrate the opening of the Coast Meridian Overpass, one of Port Coquitlam's most-anticipated projects.
Kids from northside and southside PoCo squared off in road hockey games as municipal and regional representatives officially open the 580-metre-long structure.
The $135-million cable-stayed bridge is the largest transportation infrastructure initiative in Metro Vancouver completed this year, and the four-lane
overpass provides a critical second link over the Canadian Pacific Railway yard.
