One Dead After Train and Automobile Collide

Montague Township Ontario - Lanark County OPP has confirmed the identity of the man who died
after an automobile collided with a train at a railway crossing on 5 Jan 2011.
The driver, Logan Stoddard, 21, of Smiths Falls was pronounced dead at the scene.
Passenger Elmer Miller, 26, was taken to the Smiths Falls site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital with non life-threatening head injuries.
The collision took place at approximately 12:45 p.m. when the black Dodge mini-van collided with an east-bound freight train at a railway crossing on Wood Road
in the Township of Montague. The road was covered in snow at the time.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed at the Ottawa Hospital today (6 Jan 2011), according to police.
Police and OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are still investigating the incident.
