Did you know?
The locomotives used in this movie were leased General Electric AC4400CWs from Canadian
Pacific, 4 units, and EMD SD40-2s from the Wheeling & Lake Erie dressed up as the fictional Allegheny West Virginia Railroad.
The movie is loosely based on a real runaway train incident.
On 15 May 2001, a 47-car CSX locomotive left a Toledo, Ohio, rail yard without an engineer.
It wasn't stopped until it had run 66 miles through three counties.
No one was injured in the incident.
Ironically, the train used in filming accidentally derailed in Bridgeport, Ohio, on 21 Nov 2009 while being shot for the production.
No one was injured in the incident, but production was halted for the remainder of the day.
The Blue-Ray DVD costs $33.52 at any British Columbia Wal-Mart store including the hated HST.
