Revelstoke British Columbia - Thanks to the generous financial assistance of the New Horizons for Seniors Program, Canada, the Revelstoke Railway Museum is embarking on a new educational program beginning this month.

External link This program will be designed to increase exposure to information and understanding of the role of the CPR in the development of Canada through the experiences of the railroaders themselves. It will involve a coordinated, community effort between seniors, teachers, children, youth, and others in developing an intergenerational program. This program will enhance the accessibility of information for future educators, researchers, volunteers, and the general public and augment program offerings and the visitors' experience at the museum itself.

It is with pleasure that we welcome Michelle Cole as the project coordinator for this endeavour. Michelle brings with her many gifts in educational interpretation and volunteer management and we look forward to having her assist us in launching this exciting program.

Thank you also to Sue Leach for her interest and dedication in supporting this project as a teacher and someone keenly aware of what our museum can offer to students as well as lifelong learners.

If you would like more information or are interested in getting involved, please give us a call.

Jennifer Dunkerson.
