Calgarians Save Wild Rabbit Stranded for Two Days on Railway Trestle
Calgary Alberta - A wild rabbit has been rescued in Calgary after being stranded for almost two days on a railway trestle.
People in the Inglewood neighbourhood noticed the beleaguered bunny on Wednesday and tried unsuccessfully to capture it with a trap.
CP Rail stepped in and tried to prevent rescuers from going on the trestle.
Then the fire department made an attempt, but failed to capture the rabbit by a hair.
Neighbours hopped to it again Friday morning and finally managed to bag the bunny with a net.
The harried hare is now safe in a cage recovering from its ordeal.
