20-Year-Old Man Fatally Hit by Train

Canmore Alberta - On Saturday, 4 Jun 2011, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Canmore RCMP received a complaint advising that a Canadian Pacific train had just had a collision with a pedestrian on the tracks.
 
The collision occurred within the Town of Canmore just east of Railway Avenue.
 
The male, a 20-year-old resident of Canmore, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
 
Traffic for Canadian Pacific and within the Town of Canmore was interrupted for several hours while police conducted their investigation on scene.
 
Canmore RCMP and Canadian Pacific are still investigating the matter but at this point, foul play is not a factor.
