Foul Play Not Eyed in Fires Along Tracks
Preston Ontario - Foul play is not suspected in a series of small fires that broke out Sunday along the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks
in Preston.
Police and fire officials were called after fires were spotted along the tracks near Fountain Street North and Cherry Blossom Road, as well as near Maple Grove
Road.
Firefighters were able to bring the grass and brush fires under control quickly and allowed a larger area to burn in a controlled setting.
CP Rail was advised to stop train traffic to allow firefighters to work safely.
Nothing was deemed suspicious as the fire is being blamed on recent train activity.
