TCRC - CP Negotiation Bulletin No. 10
Ottawa Ontario - All TCRC Local Chairs CPR Eastern and Western Regions:
Brothers and Sisters,
Your negotiating committee thanks every member who voted in this matter for the tremendous response and support from the ballots sent out this past month.
There were 4,880 ballots sent out to the membership. The ballots were counted in Calgary, 25 Apr 2012, with 95 percent voting in favor of strike action.
At this point of negotiations, there has been no movement made by the Company in regards to their demands to reduce your pensions and diminish your working
conditions. It appears the Company's pending proxy vote continues to affect their ability to negotiate. With the show of your overwhelming support we are
hoping that this will encourage the Company to negotiate terms acceptable to you, the members.
We will continue in our attempt to arrive at a negotiated settlement. Your Bargaining Committee will keep you informed on any further developments.
In Solidarity,
Dave Able - General Chairman, LE West
Dave Olson - General Chairman, CTY West
Benoit Brunet - General Chairman, LE East
Bruce Hiller - General Chairman, CTY East
