150 Thunder Bay CP Employees Hit Picket Lines
Thunder Bay Ontario - Picket lines are up in front of the Canadian Pacific Railway station in Thunder Bay.
About 150 local CP employees are on strike after negotiations between the railway and the Teamsters Union broke down Tuesday night.
Randy Mior, the picket captain, said the union's main concerns are over pension cuts and longer working hours.
"Well, right now their spirits are up, Mior said. We'll have to wait and see how long the strike goes on for. We voted 95 percent in favour of going on
strike so, I'm pretty sure the majority of us are willing to be here and fight for what we can get."
About 5,000 CP workers are on strike across the country.
