Victoria Vancouver Island British Columbia - The Royal B.C. Museum in Victoria will have access to millions of items from the new
Canadian Museum of History's collection as part of a partnership agreement announced today.
The partnership is the first in a series of such agreements that will see the national museum, to be opened in 2017, collaborate and share exhibits and
archives with regional history museums across the country.
According to the Canadian Heritage ministry, by way of existing resources and new partnerships with museums across Canada, the Canadian Museum of History in
Hull, Quebec, will renovate over 50,000 square feet of public space. The opening is scheduled before or on Canada's 150th birthday in 2017.
The new museum promises to highlight the renowned silver "Last Spike" of the Canada Pacific Railway.
