Train Death in January Was Suicide Coroner Says
Kamloops British Columbia - The death of a Kamloops man on the railway tracks in Dallas has been classified as a suicide, the B.C.
Coroners Service says.
Christopher Scott Hobbs, 25, died from severe head trauma on 3 Jan 2013 after being struck by a train.
"His psychiatric illness was considered a contributing factor", coroner J. Terry Dixon wrote in his report.
Hobbs was struck by a westbound CP Rail train at Pat Road.
The engineer saw him lying on the tracks but was not able to stop the train in time to avoid impact.
