CP Regrets Morning Train Delay
London Ontario - North-south traffic virtually came to standstill downtown on Friday morning because of a stopped train blocking the
tracks.
The train began passing through at about 07:50, rolled to a stop, and didn't start moving again until about 08:20.
A spokesman from Canadian Pacific Railway's media department tells Blackburn News the issue was a mechanical problem and CP regrets the incident.
After a few minutes, drivers began pulling illegal U-turns to circle back to an east-west route and take either Talbot Street, Adelaide Street, or Highbury
Avenew, which are the city's major downtown routes that are not blocked by train tracks.
