CP Rail Vehicles Set on Fire in Wetaskiwin
Wetaskiwin Alberta - Four vehicles used to lay spikes along rail tracks were set on fire in Wetaskiwin early Monday
morning.
The CP Rail vehicles, known as spikers, were discovered by RCMP on the tracks near 49th Street and the 5300 block of Wetaskiwin around 04:30.
The fires were extinguished by the Wetaskiwin Fire Department.
Three of the four vehicles sustained extensive damage.
Fire investigators say the fires are suspicious in nature.
They believe the fires started between 03:30 and 04:30.
