Calgary Alberta - Canadian food banks will be sharing in a huge haul from the CP Holiday Train.
 
Crowds who gathered on rail sidings to see the brightly decorated train, and listen to Canadian acts like Blue Rodeo and Odds, donated $1.1 million and more than 300 thousand pounds of food.
 
The proceeds will be shared between food banks in this country and in the United States.
 
Since the train began chugging across the continent in the holiday season of 1999, it has raised more than $10.6 million and 3.6 million pounds of food.
