Milwaukee Wisconsin USA - The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train has become a pretty big deal.
Not only for its local philanthropic efforts but, of course, for its festival lights that help launch the Christmas and holiday seasons in the United States
and Canada.
Today, Metro Parent Magazine reports that the Holiday Train will stop in Wauwatosa thanks to the efforts of two Girls Scouts in the city.
Last year, the train stopped at 10 cities in Wisconsin, including Sturtevant, Milwaukee, and Hartland.
I'm sure Milwaukee's Intermodal Station will again be a stop this year as well as Wauwatosa and other train stop cities.
The full schedule will be released in mid-October.
Since it began in 1999, the CP Holiday Holiday Train has covered more than 100,000 miles and raised nearly US$10.6 million and 3.6 million pounds of food for
local food banks.
