Rotary Supports Brockville Railway Tunnel Project
Brockville Ontario - Two Rotary clubs in the Brockville area are supporting the restoration of Canada's first railway tunnel.
Inside Canada's oldest structure of its kind on Tuesday, the Rotary Clubs of Brockville and 1000 Islands committed $100,000 towards the capital fundraising
campaign for the restoration of the Brockville Railway Tunnel.
The public fundraising campaign launch for the downtown attraction will be in 2016.
A minimum of $2.5 million is required to rehabilitate, restore, preserve, and promote this historic site that dates back to the 1850s.
