Paynton Saskatchewan - RCMP are investigating after a train and a five-ton truck collided on Highway 16 in northwest Saskatchewan.
 
On Monday at around 14:15 Maidstone RCMP received a call that the truck, which was hauling a water tank, collided with a train in the village of Paynton.
 
Paynton is located about 50 kilometres northwest of North Battleford.
 
There were no injuries and the train did not derail, but the collision is still being investigated by the RCMP.
 
Traffic was rerouted for a short period of time.
