Salmon Arm British Columbia - A pedestrian was taken to hospital after getting hit by a train in downtown Salmon Arm on the weekend.
 
The collision happened at about 11:45 on Saturday, 18 Jun 2016, at the intersection of Marine Park Drive and Lakeshore Drive NE, CP spokesperson Salem Woodrow says.
 
CP confirms the pedestrian was taken to hospital but won't comment on the person's condition.
 
The individual's age and gender are also not being released.
 
Salmon Arm RCMP, CP Police and emergency responders were at the scene Saturday afternoon.
 
Salmon RCMP Sgt. Scott West deferred comment to CP Police when contacted by iNFOnews.ca.
