Montreal Quebec - A Canadian Pacific (CP) employee died at the Cote-St-Luc rail yard Wednesday morning at 06:00.
CP said in a statement that it is not releasing details about the employee or the incident at this time out of respect for the privacy of the
family.
"Our thoughts are with the employee's family and friends at this time," the company said.
CP is conducting an investigation in conjunction with federal, provincial, and local authorities.
Counselling is being offered to employees.
Because the investigation is being handled by CP security officials, Montreal police and ambulance services did not have information on the
incident.
A team of investigators from the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) was sent to the scene Wednesday afternoon.
